Synopsis
England 1191. When King Richard the Lion-Hearted sets forth for the crusades in the Holy Land, he presents the regency of the kingdom to his trusted friend, Longchamps, and angers his brother, Prince John. While visiting Austria, Richard is seized by Prince John Escourt, Sir Leopold, and held captive in Vienna. Assuming control of Nottingham, the evil Norman Prince John, heavily burdens the Saxons with taxes – pay of suffer cruel consequences.
Appalled by the Norman mistreatement of Saxons, Sir Robin of Locksley opposes Prince john and finds himself declared a wanted outlaw (Robin Hood). Retreating to the Gallows Oak in Sherwood Forest, he organizes a small band of free-born Englishmen (the Merry men). All adventure filled stories relate their attempts to usurp Prince John and restore the throne to it’s rightful king, Richard the Lion Hearted.
