Synopsis

In a system where criminals go free, lawyers and judges make deals and the innocent sometimes go unprotected, young lawyer Arthur Kirkland (Al Pacino, in a brilliant 1979 Best Actor Oscarâ nominated role) begins to wonder where the justice has gone. But this honest, idealistic lawyer’s values will be put to the ultimate test when he is chosen to defend a distinguished judge on charges of rape and battery … with the full knowledge that his client is guilty.
