Synopsis

Starring Academy Award winner Michael Caine and comedian Dylan Moran from BBC’s popular Television show “Black Boots”, THE ACTORS is a classic light hearted comic caper about two struggling actors, looking for an escape from the nightly humiliation of repertory theatre. O’Malley (Caine) befriends a local gangster Barreller (Gambon) and upon discovering he owes a large sum of money to a mysterious mobster in London, hatches an apparently fool proof plan to make some easy cash. In order to pull off the scam they take on various disguises and characters and discover a talen for crime they never had for acting. When the real hoods arrive the actors-cum-criminals find their intricate web of deceit stretched to the limit.
