Ordering Process
1. What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept all major forms of credit cards this includes Visa, MasterCard,
Bankcard, Diners Club and American Express. Australian customers can
also now pay for their order by money order, however orders paid by
this method must be made using the offline order facility. Goods are
not shipped until payment has been received and successfully processed.

2. Are online transactions safe using credit
card/debit card?
Online transactions use a technique called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
this encrypts the information that flows between your computer and
us when you place an order. By using this method it means that a secure
connection has been made, and credit card details can be sent safely.
If you have any concerns about submitting your credit card details
online, we also now accept payment by credit card through offline
ordering. This way you can fax, phone or mail your credit card details
through.

3. What is credit card verification?
Atlantic requires the verification of credit cards of all new international and some new Australian
customers. This process is required to ensure that the credit card used online is in fact
yours. We appreciate the fact that this some may see this as a deterrent to ordering through
us, but the incidence of online credit card fraud has increased rapidly and we need to protect
ourselves from this as much as possible, otherwise our prices will have to rise to cover fraudulent
orders.
The way the credit card verification process works is as follows: When you place your first
ever order online with Atlantic, we charge your credit card a small amount (less than AUD$1.00).
We require that you check your credit card statement (which can be checked online if you have
internet banking facilities or you can call your bank for an immediate response) and email
us the amount we have charged your card. As soon as we have received your confirmation we
will process your order, subtracting the small amount we initially charged your account from
the value of the order. Subsequent orders will be processed without any further verification.
For further information about our credit card verification system please contact us

11. I have problems placing my order - it keeps saying my shopping cart is empty when I have added products to it - what should I do?
If you are experiencing problems placing an order, the most common cause of this is the privacy settings of the internet browser being set too high. To remedy this, please try the following;
Internet Explorer 6
- On the menu, select 'Tools' and then 'Internet Options'
- Select the 'Privacy' Tab
- Move the slider down so that it states 'Accept All Cookies' on the right
- Press the 'Apply' button and then press the 'OK' button
- Try submitting the order again
If this still does not correct the problem, repeat step 1, then press the 'Delete
All Cookies' button and then press the 'OK' button. Try submitting the order
again. If you are still experiencing problems, email us at contact@atlanticdvd.com.au

3. What is the difference between PAL and

PAL (Phase Alternate Lines) Vs. NTSC (National Television Standards
Committee)
DVD has brought with it a similar problem we had with video and laser
disc, two main formats not being compatible with each other. Most
televisions have been designed over the past few years to accept both
PAL and NTSC. But say for example if you play a NTSC DVD on a PAL
system television the picture on your monitor will be distorted in
black and white.
Below is a list of countries and their standards, but dont
forget most modern televisions will accept both PAL and NTSC DVDs.
PAL Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Austria,
Bangladesh, Belgium, Borneo, Bosnia-Herzogovina, Botswana, Cambodia,
